Men’s Golf Ties for Seventh at Colleton River Collegiate

The Eagles host the Schenkel Invitational March 15-17 at Forest Heights Country Club.
BLUFFTON, S.C. – Brett Barron and Steven Fisk each shot a 73, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team tied for seventh at the Colleton River Collegiate Tuesday at the Colleton River Pete Dye Course.
Barron led the Eagles with three birdies on the day and shot an even-par 36 on the front to tie for eighth. Fisk also shot a 36 on the front and finished his round with eight consecutive pars to tie for 23rd. Jake Maples, who played as an individual this week, shot a 71 today and tied for 12th at 1-over for the tournament.
Georgia Southern tied with Rutgers for seventh, three strokes behind Memphis in sixth and four behind Penn State in fifth. Tournament host Michigan State won the team title.
