STATESBORO, Ga. – For the final time this season, the Georgia Southern women's tennis team took to the courts inside the Wallis Tennis Center. Prior to the match senior
Ella Monsey, as well as a few past alumni were honored. The Eagles would go on to defeat Arkansas State 4-1 to improve to 13-6 on the season. The Blue and White will now await their conference seeding and begin preparations for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead winning on courts two and three in doubles play.
Arianne de Winter and
Paula Boixader won quickly on court two with a 6-2 victory.
Lindsay Truscott and
Charlotte van Diemen continued to use that pressure and won on court three with a 6-1 victory.
The Blue and White continued to battle in singles play and would complete the season on a high note. The
Arianne de Winter won two tiebreaker sets to defeat her opponent 7-5, 7-6.
Emilia Bujan made quick work on court two winning 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets.
Charlotte van Diemen continued that quick succession with a 6-1, 6-1 victory on court six. The Eagles finished off the regular season with a 13-6 record and will look forward to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
