Eagles Head South for Spring Break

Women's Tennis heads to Orlando for four matches during spring break

STATESBORO, Ga. – Following being at home for the last two matches the Eagles will travel south to Orlando, Florida for four matches in the Sunshine State. The Blue and White will face off against Rutgers (4-4), Butler (6-10), Chicago State (3-10), and St. Norbert College (10-6).

WHAT HEAD COACH SEAN MCCAFFREY SAID
"The women have been looking forward to this Orlando spring break trip for quite a while. It's a great chance for the team to have the rare occasion where we can focus solely on our training and competition. This trip will also give our team a chance to see some fun sites and continue to strengthen their bond as a team. All in all I believe we have a good variety of competition set up for the week with Rutgers and Butler to start the week off. This week of competitive matches and training will help prepare us for the upcoming Sun Belt Conference matches once we get back next week."

The Eagles enter the weekend with a 4-2 record and will be on the road for the next seven matches. The Blue and White defeated Florida A&M last Sunday 7-0 to get back into the winning column. All matches this weekend are available for broadcast online.

The Eagles will have four matches in Orlando, before heading to Conway, South Carolina to open up the conference season. The Blue and White will have their final match of the road trip in Charleston, South Carolina against College of Charleston. Head coach Sean McCaffrey sits at 394 career victories and will be looking to advance those numbers this week in Orlando.
