Steven Fisk Named Sun Belt Men’s Golfer of the Week

The Eagles play in the Fighting Irish Classic Sunday and Monday
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern's Steven Fisk has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced today. It's the fifth time in his career that he has earned the honor.
Fisk won medalist honors in two events, the fourth and fifth wins of his career, and shot under par in all six rounds of action, posting a 68.83 scoring average. He fired a season low of 66 in the final round of The Hummingbird Intercollegiate Tuesday and shot 29 with six birdies on the back nine to win it.
His 70-67-66=203 (-10) at the Hummingbird was the second lowest in tournament history and he helped the Eagles shoot an 822, beating the school record by six strokes. The senior shot 68-71-71=210 (-6) to tie for first at the Shoal Creek Invitational Sept. 24-25.
The Eagles continue a stretch of four events in four weeks when they travel to the Fighting Irish Invitational at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind., this weekend. GS is slated to play 36 holes Sunday and 18 Monday.
