GREENVILLE, S.C. – Ella Ofstedahl shot a 75 to lead the Georgia Southern women's golf team in the final round of the Lady Paladin Intercollegiate, and the Eagles finished 16th at Furman University Golf Course Sunday.
Ashlynn Joyner carded a 79, while
Sarah Noonan,
Ansley Bowman and
Natalie Petersen all carded an 80.
Furman (-7) fired an 8-under 280 to win its home tournament, and Daytona State (+3) finished second. Kennesaw State (+10) shot 1-under today to move into third, and Middle Tennessee (+11) finished fourth. Memphis (+15) placed fifth.
The story
Ofstedahl played her final 10 holes of the day even with birdies on holes 10 and 11, and Joyner played her final 11 holes 2-over with two straight pars to end the round.
Petersen was even through her first seven and played the front nine 1-over with birdies on holes 1 and 2, and Bowman played the front nine 1-over. Noonan played the front nine even with birdies on holes 3 and 7.
