STATESBORO, Ga. – To conclude the road schedule for the Women's Tennis team the Eagles will travel to Mobile, Alabama to face off against Troy and Appalachian State in the second Sun Belt Pod weekend. The Eagles will face the Trojans on Saturday at 2, and the Mountaineers Sunday at 11, before returning home for the final match of the season against College of Charleston.

"There will be a lot on the line for us as we head into our final weekend of conference play before the tournament," Head coach
Michele Stanford said. "In the past, both Troy and App have put up a tough fight. We have been training hard all year, and it will be very important that we play smart tennis. Our girls are definitely planning on walking away with two wins this weekend before returning to the Boro for our final home match."

The Trojans enter play with a 5-12 overall record and a 1-1 record in Conference play. Troy has not played since March 26th, in Statesboro where they picked up their first conference victory against newcomers Coastal Carolina. Following their match against the Eagles, the Trojans will have three total matches remaining with one being against Sun Belt opponent South Alabama.

The Mountaineers post a 4-16 record overall and a 0-2 record against Conference opponents. Like the Trojans, Appalachian State has not played since March 26
th, where they were defeated by South Alabama. Before facing the Eagles Sunday afternoon, the Mountaineers will face off against Georgia State, who was a perfect 2-0 in the Sun Belt Pod Weekend that they Eagles hosted.

Last time out the Eagles traveled to Jackson, Mississippi and Monroe, Louisiana to compete against Jackson State and UL-Monroe. The Eagles jumped out to an early lead against the Tiger following the doubles teams of

Ella Monsey defeated their opponents to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. The blue and white would keep the momentum rolling winning three of the necessary six singles matches to defeat JSU 4-3. Sunday afternoon the blue and white faced off against their third of five conference opponents this season. ULM defeated the Eagles 7-0 after dropping the doubles point. This loss dropped the Eagles to 0-3 in the conference heading into the final two conference matches this season.
