O’Toole Named GCAA All-America Scholar

NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has named Georgia Southern's Cody O'Toole a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar.
O'Toole posted two top-10 finishes and three top-20 outings in 2015-16, his debut season with the Eagles. He played in seven tournaments and ranked second on the team with a 73.08 scoring average. He took second in his first tournament as an Eagle at the Invitational at The Ocean Course (74-69-69=212, -4) and tied for sixth at the Cabo Del Sol Intercollegiate (69-73-71=213, -3). A finance major, O'Toole carries a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
A total of 219 players in Division I, 91 in Division II and 12 in NAIA earned the honor. Additionally, 43 honorees were added to the previously-released Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
