ELON, N.C. – Georgia Southern Women's Tennis got its first serves in anger this weekend at the Elon Fall Invitational against a number of former conference foes. Rain on Sunday shortened the tournament and eliminated the final matches for most student-athletes. Next up for Georgia Southern is the Georgia Southern Fall Invitational on Oct. 2-4 at the Wallis Tennis Center.

Even though we struggled through some tough three set matches, and the results didn't always go our way, our team kept a great competitive spirit. We are looking forward to the upcoming weeks to improve the areas in our games that seemed to hold us back this weekend. There was much to be learned from this experience and we will continue our diligent training until our next home tournament."
