
Fall Family Weekend Set for The Citadel Game Week

Events run Sept. 18-20
The Office of Orientation and Parent Programs at Georgia Southern University will host the University's annual Fall Family Weekend on September 18-20, 2015. Main events include a Block Party, Outdoor Movie, and a catered tailgate with games and activities leading up to the Georgia Southern vs. The Citadel football game. A detailed schedule of events can be found on the Parent Programs website (http://parents.georgiasouthern.edu).
The full 2015 Fall Family Weekend package costs $45.00 per person and includes snacks at the Block Party, food and entertainment at the pre-game tailgate, a ticket to the football game, and an official Fall Family Weekend T-Shirt. Parent & Family Association members may purchase packages at a discounted rate of $35 each. Partial packages may be purchased for a reduced rate of $30 each. These packages are intended for students and season pass holders, and include everything except for a football ticket.
The Parent & Family Association will also host their general meeting on Saturday morning at the Russell Union Theater from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Hear from Dr. Theresa Thompson, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, about current events at the University. In addition, Parent & Family Association Scholarship winners will be recognized at this meeting.
Parent Programs is excited to announce they will be offering a Silent Auction again this year. All proceeds raised from the Silent Auction will support student leadership scholarships through Georgia Southern's Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management. Items available for bidding may be viewed at http://parents.georgiasouthern.edu.
