Georgia Southern plays host to South Alabama in the second of two meetings against the Trojans this season.

The Eagles won the first matchup 67-53 Jan. 10 in the Mitchell Center.

The Eagles have lost their last 11 and are coming off a 99-93 overtime defeat to Troy Thursday.  It was the most points the Eagles have scored against a Division I opponent since a 97-95 double overtime loss to Western Carolina in the 2005 Southern Conference Tournament.

Today's game caps a stretch in which the Eagles played seven of eight contests at home.

Georgia Southern is 2-10 at home and 0-6 in home Sun Belt games. The Eagles played six of their first eight Sun Belt games on the road. 

Six of the Eagles' last 10 contests have been one-possession games at the under-4 media timeout and two have been decided in overtime.

It's Senior Day, and Georgia Southern will honor Anna Claire Knight, Kelsey Corcoran and manager Nijeria Carter prior to the game.

It's also GATA Club Reunion Day, and Georgia Southern will recognize its women's basketball alumnae in attendance during the game.

South Alabama has lost its last six and is coming off a 69-54 setback at Georgia State Thursday.

The Jags are 0-12 on the road and 0-8 in road league games.

Breanna Hall leads South Alabama in scoring with 15.7 points a game.
