The Eagles End Fall Season at the Charleston Challenge

Men’s tennis plays their final fall tournament this weekend in Charleston, S.C.
STATESBORO, Ga. – For the last time this fall, the Georgia Southern looks to capture a tournament title. This weekend, the Eagles travel to the College of Charleston to size up their competition before the spring season, going up against Bethune Cookman, Presbyterian and host CofC in the three-day invitational.
The tournament opens up on Friday, Nov. 13, with doubles at 3 p.m. followed by singles. The rest of the weekend has a scheduled start of 9:30 a.m., kicked off by doubles.
LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend at the Wake Forest Fall Invite, two doubles pairs made it to the finals. Freshman tandem Marvin Spiering and Andre Johnson fell in a close competition with a team from Wofford, 8-6 in the C1 Flight. Veterans Eddie Landin and Nico de Groof also came close to a trophy, but lost to UNCG 8-3.
In the singles realm, junior Christian Kerrigan won his consolation draw, while Spiering made it to the semi's in the main draw.
