The story
Rd. 2 - Fisk rolled in five birdies and had just one blemish on his card, a bogey on hole 10. He had three straight birdies during one stretch and played his final seven holes 2-under. Price was even through his first seven holes and 1-over after 12. He played his final four holes 1-under with a birdie on hole 17 after a double bogey in hole 15. O'Toole struggled at the start and played his final 14 holes even-par. Mabbett was even through his first 11 holes but struggled coming in.
The Eagles got a pair of 73s and a 74 on the board but could not find a fourth counter with a good round. Price played his first 16 holes 2-over, and Vaisanen was 1-under in his final six holes as both Eagles shot a 73. After some trouble in the early going, O'Toole recovered to shoot even par on his final 12 holes. Simmons posted three birdies to shoot 3-over as an individual, and Fisk played his first eight holes 2-under.
Quotable from Coach Carter Collins
"It was a tough day on the course. We have no excuses; it was just bad golf. We have an opportunity to collect ourselves, play hard tomorrow and move up the board to the best of our ability. We're looking forward to the challenge."
