The Eagles play at the GS Championships and NC State Invitational

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team hosts the Georgia Southern Championships this weekend at the Wallis Tennis Complex, Friday-Sunday. The three-day tournament features SCAD, UT Chattanooga, Kennesaw State and the Citadel.

On top of the tournament in Statesboro, four Eagles-- Rise Lanne, Chris Kerrigan, J.C. Alcala and Eddie Landin-- set off to North Carolina to compete in the NC State Invite this weekend..

WHO PLAYS WHO

GEORGIA SOUTHERN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Singles
- Pradeep Raja starts off play for the Eagles at 9 a.m. on Friday against Sean Hajdu (SCAD)
- Adam Brown takes on Rob Hobson from the Citadel at 10 a.m.
- Andre Johnson, seeded fourth in the singles draw, goes against Michael Birnbaum (UTC) at 9 a.m. on Friday
- Marvin Spiering and Josh Tewes-McCoy (SCAD) go head-to-head at 10 a.m. on Friday
- Nico de Groof faces Derrick Brown of UTC at 9 a.m.
- Evan Pelavin and Corey Smith (KSU) go up against each other at 9 a.m.

Doubles
- Pelavin and Raja take on Liu and McCoy (SCAD) at 3:30 p.m.
- Johnson and Spiering go head-to-head with Hobson and Davis of the Citadel at 3:30 p.m. on Friday
- Brown and de Groof face de Torres Curth and Smith of KSU at 3:30 p.m.

NC STATE INVITATIONAL
Singles- Red Draw
Rise Lanne takes on Jorge Alfonzo of Tenn Tech at 1:30 p.m.

Singles- Grey Draw
Chris Kerrigan goes head-to-head with Chris Humphreys (Elon) at 2:30 p.m.

Singles- White Draw
J.C. Alcala goes up against Jose Manzano (Radford) at 1:30 p.m.
Eddie Landin faces Chad Hoskins (UNC) at 3:30 p.m.

Doubles- White Draw
Lanne/Kerrigan play Riazzi/Saad (Davidson) at 9:30 a.m.

Doubles- Grey Draw
Landin/Alcala take on Georgiy/Lefheldt (ECU) at 9:30 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, Lanne made it to the consolation finals at the ITA Regionals but couldn't take the title. Adam Brown and Nico de Groof also made it to the final doubles round at the Mercer Tournament Oct. 9-11 but dropped in the last match.
