
Sala, Lanne Win Flights

STATESBORO, Ga. - Albert Codina Sala won the C Buzz singles and partnered with Ristomatti Lanne to win the C Buzz doubles as the Georgia Southern men's tennis team completed the second weekend of fall tournament action.
Competing in both the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational and the Elon Fall Invitational, the Eagles posted wins on the final day of competition at both locations.
Sala knocked off Michael Beiler (FGCU) 6-4, 6-0 for the flight final and partnered with Lanne for a doubles flight final win over Beiler and Chris Perrigan (8-6). Lanne also finished third in the A White consolation with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Felipe Jawarski of Georgia State.
In action in Elon, N.C., GSU posted a backdraw final win after Eduardo Landin knocked off Milijan Ruzic (JMU) 7-5, 6-1. Two other Eagles battled in backdraw finals. Nico de Groof and Pradeep Raja both fell in consolation matches.
Men's tennis will return to action Oct. 16 at the ITA Regional Championships. The four day event is being held in Athens, Ga.
