"We are very excited to have Erin join our program at the setter position," said Wood. "She is a competitor and will grow learning from our coaching staff and our returning all-conference setter, Kat Minnerly. She is able to run a fast-tempo offense will give us the ability to run another offensive system this year."

Georgia Southern returns seven letterwinners and six starters to the 2014 squad as the Eagles begin play in the Sun Belt Conference. The season opens at the Active Ankle Challenge at the University of Florida Aug. 29-30.
