Men's Tennis Opens SoCon Play With Furman and Wofford

GREENVILLE, S.C.- Georgia Southern men's tennis faces two SoCon opponents back to back this weekend. The Eagles battle Furman on Saturday, March 1st at 11:30am, and then travel to Wofford on Sunday, March 2nd at 1pm. GSU goes into competition this weekend with a 1-8 overall record.
Last time out, the Eagles fell to College of Charleston 0-7. Although the Eagles were winless in singles, Oliver Webb and Christian Kerrigan teamed up to defeat Rodrigo Encinas and Josh Record, 8-5.
The Furman Paladins hold a record of 4-5 at this point in the season. The Paladins lost to Presbyterian in their last competition, 3-4. Last year, the Eagles defeated the Paladins 4-3.
The Wofford Terriers are currently 5-5 overall, and their last time out they were defeated by Gardner-Webb 3-4.
