Play Begins Friday At 9:30 a.m.

Statesboro, Ga. – The Eagles play host to the Georgia Southern Championships this weekend from the Wallis Tennis Complex on the campus of Georgia Southern University. In addition to the Eagles, four other teams will take to the courts including Savannah College of Art and Design, Florida Atlantic University, Kennesaw State University and the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

The Championships will feature a flighted round robin format with five flights of singles competition. Doubles action will also be in a modified round robin format. Play begins Friday at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude on Sunday, October 26th.

"We are excited to open up the Georgia Southern Championships Friday. We are very fortunate to host two strong tournaments at the fantastic Wallis Tennis Center," said Head Coach Nick Zieziula. "The format this weekend is going to ensure that we get in a lot of matches for both singles and doubles which is going to help continue our development."
