Georgia Southern returns to action against The Citadel in a 6 p.m. Southern Conference match Tuesday in Hanner Fieldhouse.
Georgia Southern has won 27 of its last 30 matches, dating back to last season, which includes a 14-1 mark in Hanner Fieldhouse. The Eagles are on a current eight-match winning streak, and all eight wins have come at home.
The Eagles opened conference play with a pair of victories at home over the weekend. Georgia Southern topped Elon 3-1 Friday and UNCG 3-2 Saturday. The Citadel fell 3-1 to UNCG and 3-2 to Elon at home over the weekend.
The Eagles' 3-2 win over UNCG was their first 5-set match of the season. GSU has won four of its last five matches that went to five sets, dating back to last season.

Tuesday's match is the GATA game, and all-student-athletes as well as Gus, the cheerleaders and The Net Squad will be at the contest.

Georgia Southern – Jamie DeRatt averaged 4.22 kills, 3.56 digs and 0.78 blocks per set in leading the Eagles to a pair of SoCon victories over the weekend. The junior tallied career highs of 23 kills and 19 digs to go along with four blocks in the win over Elon. She collected 15 kills, 13 digs and three blocks against UNCG.
The Citadel – Lauren Hurt ranks fifth in the SoCon in blocks, averaging 1.14 per set, and is third on the team with 90 kills. Samantha Espy ranks ninth in the league in aces with 0.28 per set.
