DeRatt Named SoCon Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Junior outside hitter Jamie DeRatt has been named the Southern Conference volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.
DeRatt was named MVP of the Jaguar Invitational after leading Georgia Southern to a 3-0 record over the weekend. She posted 37 kills, 28 digs and four aces in the three matches and averaged 4.67 kills a set while hitting .291.
DeRatt led the Eagles in kills in each match and had a double-double with 14 kills and 15 digs in the Eagles' 3-1 win over host South Alabama.
DeRatt posted 11 kills and 15 digs this afternoon in a match at Troy, but the Eagles suffered a 3-0 loss, their first of the season. Georgia Southern will travel to the Ole Miss Magnolia Invitational this weekend.
