Emily Archer Named to Capitol One Academic All-District Team

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Women's Soccer senior Emily Archer has been named to the Capitol One Academic All-District IV Team as announced on Thursday afternoon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Archer is Georgia Southern's first women's soccer selection to the All-District team since 1998 when Lindsey Grossman earned the honor.
Academically, Archer has a 4.0 cumulative GPA. She is majoring in marketing with a minor in public relations.
Archer concluded her collegiate career on Wednesday night and played every match this season for the Eagles. She played a total of 58 career matches and scored her only Division I goal as a sophomore against Davidson.
A native of Cornelius, N.C., Archer played her freshman year at Belmont-Abbey, scoring seven goals with four assists.
