Statesboro, Ga. - The Georgia Southern golf team will be back in action when they host the prestigious Schenkel Invitational March 16-18, at the Forest Heights Country Club. The three-round, par 72 tournament will have a round each day. Tee times begin at 9 a.m. for each round.
"This is a great community event," said Head Coach Larry Mays. "There are probably more people that come out and spectate for this tournament than any other college tournament in the country. It gives it a special feel, not only for our players, but for the other teams that come in as well. The southern hospitality and the community involvement out here make it a special event and keeps these big teams coming out here."
The Eagles welcome in a 14-team field for the 33rd annual Schenkel Invitational. The field includes four top-25 teams, and six in the top 30.
