Golf Continues Today at John Hayt Collegiate Invitational

Ponte Vedra, Fla. - Georgia Southern Golf continues their spring season today at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The three-day tournament is hosted by the University of North Florida.
The event features a 15-team field, headed by nine teams ranked in Golfweek's Top-50, including four Top-20 teams (#7 Arkansas, #14 LSU, #16 North Florida, #19 UCF). The rest of the field includes: Georgia Southern, UAB (30), Tulsa (47), Furman, Ole Miss, Coastal Carolina, TCU (36), Jacksonville, North Texas (39), Mercer and Tennessee (37).
Playing for the Eagles will be freshmen Scott Wolfes (St. Simons Island, Ga.) and Zach Hartman (St. Simons Island, Ga.), sophomores Drew Guffey (Bartow, Fla.) and Hayden Anderson (Knoxville, Tenn.) and junior Blake Olson (Pensecola, Fla.). In addition Matthew Mierzerejewski (Alpharetta, Ga.) will play individually for the Eagles.
Number seven Arkansas is the defending champion of the event, winning last year's tournament by a two-stroke margin.
Tee Times for the tournament begins at 8 a.m. The Eagles are paired with #30 UAB and #37 Tennessee.
