Eagles Shine in Individual Tournament

St. Simons Island, Ga. – Sophomores Drew Guffey (Bartow, Fla.) and Will Evans (McDonough, Ga.) both played individually in the Coastal Georgia Invitational at Sea Island Golf Club's Retreat Course on Monday and Tuesday (Feb 13-14). Guffey and Evans both played extremely well in the tournament. Guffey shot a 69 and 76 for a one over total in the two rounds which was good for a fourth place finish. Evans tied for fifth after shooting a 73 and 73 in the 36-hole event. The impressive play landed both players on the All-Tournament Team, reserved for the top-5 individuals in the tournament.

GSU golf will be back on the course Feb. 26-28 when they travel to Ponte Vedra, Fla., to play in the John Hayt Invitational.
