Thomas Sharkey Memorial Ceremony Set for August 30th

STATESBORO, Ga. - A memorial ceremony to honor Georgia Southern golfer Thomas Sharkey has been set for Tuesday, August 30th, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Matthew's Church located at the corner of Gentilly Road and John Paul Avenue in Statesboro. The event will celebrate his life after he was tragically killed in a fire last month in Scotland.
"Thomas was a good teammate, but a better friend to those who knew him," said Georgia Southern Golf Coach Larry Mays. "This is our chance to celebrate Thomas' life and share our memories of him."
A reception will follow the memorial service.
