Golf Pro-Am Scheduled for Monday, April 30th

STATESBORO, Ga. - Attracting more than 100 participants, the annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament to benefit the 2011 Southern Conference Champion Georgia Southern Golf team will be held on Monday, April 30th. The event, which includes a full round of golf with a professional golfer and dinner, will be held at the Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga.
"This annual Pro-Am Tournament is always a great day for our program," said Head Coach Larry Mays. "It's the one time of the year that we bring together past players, donors, sponsors and fans for a fun day of golf. Forest Heights is a great host and the day is always filled with fun and fellowship. Please join us on April 30th for a wonderful event."
The yearly event provides an opportunity for alumni, friends, businesses, and the community to help support Eagle Golf, with proceeds to benefit the program. The individual entry fee is $200 and four different sponsorship levels are also available. The Georgia Southern Pro-Am is open to all interested individuals.
Each team will consist of four players and a professional playing in the scramble format. We have had great interest from many of our former players about this
year's upcoming pro-am and expect to have the best turn out of
professional golfers we have ever had. We will release theparticipants a little closer to the pro-am date.
Participation in the event includes:
-Green fee and cart
-Georgia Southern Golf shirt
-Raffle entry
-Dinner and refreshments after play
-Awards to the winning teams
-Meet the Eagle Golf team

11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Registration
1:00 p.m. Shotgun start (scramble format)
5:30 p.m. Dinner & awards ceremony
