Freshman Scott Wolfes (St. Simons Island, Ga.) tied for 32nd place individually at 11-over par (76+72+79=227) to earn high finisher honors for the Eagles. Wolfes' even-par 72 in the second round on Saturday was also the low round of the weekend for Georgia Southern.
"We got off to a bad start Saturday morning and never recovered," said Head Coach Larry Mays. "We made too many mistakes, struggled on some pretty tough holes and paid for it against a really good field this weekend."
The Eagles will have two weeks of practice time to prepare for the Auto Trader Collegiate Classic, as the fall schedule continues at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Georgia on Monday, October 17.
