Eagle Golfers Compete at Thomas University Fall Invite

Valdosta, Ga. - Three members of the Georgia Southern golf team competed at the 36-hole Thomas University Fall Invite this past week, including sophomore Will Evans (McDonough, Ga.) who finished at 2-under par (70+72=142) to tie for third place and freshman Zach Hartman (St. Simon's Island), who shot even par to tie for 12th place. Sophomore Drew Guffey (Bartow, Fla.) finished his two rounds at 12 over par (73+83=156) to tie for 55th place.
The Eagles competed as individuals in the non-team event, played at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta. The par 72 course played at 6,662 yards.
The Eagles return to action next Monday, Oct. 17 at the Auto Trader Collegiate Classic. The two-day, 54-hole event will be hosted by Georgia State University at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga.
