Zabroske Honored as Men's Golfer of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern senior Ryan Zabroske has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 31 – April 6.
Zabroske (Alpharetta, Ga.) carded a 9-under par 207 to finish in a tie for sixth place at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational. In the second round, Zabroske tied his career-low round of 67, using seven birdies to supplement two bogeys. He opened the round firing four birdies over the first six holes. After matching his career-low round, Zabroske sustained the success by launching a 4-under 68 over the final 18 holes. The 9-under par 207 marked a personal best 54-hole total for the senior.
The senior topped 15 of the top 100 golfers in the country while leading Georgia Southern to a sixth-place finish.
Other top golfers this week were Davidson’s Bobby Urso, Western Carolina’s Kyle Wilson and Wofford’s Ben Wright.
Georgia Southern closed out regular season competition at the Administaff Augusta State Invitational and returns to the course for the Southern Conference Championship, April 18-20. The three-day tournament will take place at The Country Club of South Carolina in Florence, S.C.
