Signing Day Event to Celebrate 2010 Recruiting Class

STATESBORO, Ga. - To celebrate the first football recruiting class of Eagle Head Coach Jeff Monken, Georgia Southern has scheduled a Signing Day Event at Locos Grill and Pub for Wednesday, February 3. Georgia Southern's 2010 signees will be released earlier in the day but, for the first time, Eagle fans can join the coaching staff at 6:30 p.m. to recap the big day.
Coach Monken and "Voice of the Eagles" Chris Blair of the Georgia Southern Radio Network will begin the program at approximately 7:15 p.m. with a brief "state of Georgia Southern Football" address. Monken will comment on the accolades and abilities of the members of the 2010 signing class and introduce the coaching staff responsible for this year's efforts. A presentation of video highlights of select signees will be shown on the big screen TV after the commentary. The event is free and open to the public.
