Women's Soccer Announces 2009 Schedule

STATESBORO, Ga. - Head women's soccer coach Ashley Hart announced her 2009 schedule Tuesday. The Eagles will play in two tournaments this season. The season kicks off at Charleston Southern on August 22.
The Eagles will then head to Washington, D.C. (Aug. 28-30) to play in the American tournament where they will face American and Georgetown. The Hoyas went 13-4-2 overall and finished second in the national division a year ago.
The home opener is set for September 18th against the Mercer Bears. In all the Eagles will host six home meets including a doubleheader with the men's soccer team (Oct 18). The Eagles will host a three game home stand starting October 2nd against Elon.
Southern Conference play will begin against Appalachian State (Sept. 25). The conference slate wraps up with a three game road swing with the final regular season match against Davidson set for October 31st.
The SoCon Tournament is set for November 6-8 in Cullowhee, N.C.
