Finneren Receives William V. Moore Graduate Scholarship

STATESBORO, Ga. - Senior women's soccer player Holli Finneren (Lake Orion, Mich.) won the inaugural William V. Moore Graduate Scholarship and plans to attend George Washington to study physical therapy. The award is presented by Sharp Business Systems and was created in honor of former College of Charleston faculty athletics representative Bill Moore.
Finneren will graduate from Georgia Southern with a degree in exercise science and a minor in psychology.
The senior midfielder is a three-time member of the president's list and sports a 3.89 GPA.
A four-year letterwinner on the Eagles' women's soccer team, Finneren helped guide the squad to the SoCon semifinals in 2006, and she finished fourth on the team in points in 2007. Finneren started five games this season and took two shots on goal. In the community, Finneren has been active with the Special Olympics, Upward Soccer, Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life.
