Promotions Highlight Weekend Volleyball Matches

STATESBORO, GA – The Georgia Southern volleyball team's match on Friday, October 30th will be one filled with excitement both on and off the court. The match has been designated both Junior Eagle Club Day and “Parent's Night Out.” The Eagles will take on the Furman Paladins at 7 p.m. at Hanner Fieldhouse.
Junior Eagle Club members, in addition to receiving free admission to the match, will be invited to participate in an ice cream social from Bruster's Real Ice Cream and Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs. The ice cream social begins at 6:30 p.m. for all members.
In conjunction with the Georgia Southern Cheerleaders on Friday, “Parent's Night Out” provides parents the chance for a night out on the town while their children can enjoy a fun-filled evening under the supervision of the Georgia Southern Cheerleaders.
Prior to the match, children can play games, decorate pumpkins, get face tattoos, learn crowd chants and decorate signs before the Eagles take the court against the Paladins at 7 p.m. The event will begin in the back gym of Hanner Fieldhouse at 5:30 p.m. and concludes at 9 p.m. GUS will also be on site for crowd entertainment following the match.
“Parents' Night Out” is for children ages 4-12 and the cost for the event is $15. If you would like to sign up or inquire more about the event, please e-mail cheerleading graduate assistant Jessica Armstrong at jarmstr2@georgiasouthern.edu .
All fans who come to the Halloween match at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 31st dressed in a Halloween costume will receive free admission to the match. All contestants will be automatically entered into a costume-contest at halftime for the best-dressed fan. The first 50 fans in attendance to the Wofford match can receive a free slice of pizza from Domino's.
