Brent Russell Earns Third UPC "Lineman of the Week" Honor

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern fans selected Brent Russell Utilities Protection Center "Lineman of the Week" once again, this time for his efforts in the October 10th Eagles game at North Carolina.

A freshman defensive lineman from Comer, Ga., Russell forced a fumble in the third quarter of the UNC game after sacking Tar Heels quarterback, A.J. Blue. Russell recorded four tackles, two sacks, in addition to his forced fumble by the end of Saturday's game. Russell received an overwhelming 67.8 percent of the vote and is being honored for the third time as UPC "Lineman of the Week". He was awarded the honor following the South Dakota State and Elon games.
