Women's Soccer is Set to Face Georgia State and High Point This Weekend

Statesboro, Ga. - The Georgia Southern Women’s Soccer team is set to host its second home match of the season versus Georgia State.
The Eagles come into this match with a 2-2-1 record.
The Panthers of Georgia State are 6-1-0 after losing their first game of the season 2-1 in two overtimes to Fairfield on Sunday.
Georgia Southern tied 1-1 with Mercer on Friday. The Eagles last victory came in double overtime against Northern Iowa (8/29) in the NIU Tournament.
Preseason All-SoCon member Ashley Toussaint (Warner Robbins, Ga.) scored the game winning goal in the second overtime to give the Eagles a 2-1 victory.
Toussaint leads the Eagles in goals scored with three, points with eight, and shots on goal with 12.
Freshman, Danae Kaimuloa (Escondido, Calif.), leads the Eagles in assists with three.
Lauren Santos (Berwyn, Ill.) has started all five games for the Eagles and has a 1.12 goals against average.
Georgia State won their first six matches in a row before dropping a double overtime match against Fairfield.
Their last victory came in a 5-1 win over UNC Asheville in the Fun in the Sun Tournament in Jacksonville.
Kay Harbrueger ranks first in the NCAA with 3.71 points per game. She ranks second in goals per game with 1.571.
Harbrueger has scored 11 goals in seven games this season.
Heide Blankenship has started all seven matches this season for the Panthers. She sports 0.61 goals against average and has made 24 saves on the season.
The match is scheduled to start at 4 pm on Friday.
The Lady Eagles will follow up the Georgia State match with a game Sunday versus High Point.
High Point is 3-2-3 on the season after losing their most recent match to SoCon foe College of Charleston 1-0.
The Panthers last win came against Middle Tennessee State (9/7).
Laura Eldridge leads High Point with four goals scored on 10 shots on goal.
The match is scheduled to start at 1 pm on Sunday.
