Joe Hollis, Jr. is in his first year
as an assistant coach on Chris Hatcher's staff. He will work with the offensive
line. No stranger to the coaching ranks, Hollis joins the Eagles after a
seven-year stint at
Hollis began his coaching career
with the Tigers in 2001 as a student assistant coach and during his tenure was
a part of seven bowl games ? including the undefeated 13-0 squad in 2004.
During his three years as a student
assistant, Hollis began working with the tight ends then helped with the
offensive line. The next two years he worked as an administrative assistant,
working with the running back and special teams.
Upon graduation in 2005, Hollis
began work as a graduate assistant coach. In addition to coaching he was also responsible
for opponent scouting, video breakdown entry, offensive scouting report and
on-campus recruiting.
During his final year last fall
Hollis worked with the quarterbacks and special teams. Over that seven year
span, Hollis was part of a Tigers
program that went 5-2 in Bowl games, including four January Bowls - two
appearances in the Capital One Bowl (2002, 2005 seasons), one Cotton Bowl
(2006)and one Sugar Bowl (2004).

Hollis earned his bachelor's degree
in Physical Education (2005) and a master's degree in Adult Education from
