First Day Results at Hackler Invitational

MURRELLS INLET, S.C. - The Georgia Southern golf team finished up its first two rounds of competition at the General Jim Hackler Invitational, Sunday (Mar. 9) sitting in 15th place and heads into Monday's final round carding a 59-over 635.

Competing at the par-72, 6,950-yard TPC of Myrtle Beach, the Eagles are paced by junior Ryan LeFevre (Boca Raton, Fla.) sitting tied for 32nd place with a 10-over 154, which included five birdies.

Following LeFevre are Jordan Johnstun (Evans, Ga.) shooting an 11-over 155 (T45), Drew Lethem (Camdenton, Mo.) and Chris Smith (Alpharetta, Ga.) each with a 20-over 164 (T74), and in 76th place, Ryan Zabroske (Alpharetta, Ga.) carding a 21-over 165.

Tournament host and No. 42 Coastal Carolina leads the 15-team field shooting a 13-over 589 and is paced by individual leader Dan Obremski with a 3-under 141. The Chanticleers hold an eight-stroke advantage over No. 15 Duke, which sits in second place.

The final 18 will be played Monday (Mar. 10) starting at 8 a.m.
