A three-year basketball letterman from 1969-71, he was co-captain and a starter his senior year... Helped lead Eagles to back-to-back post-season appearances as sophomore and junior... Part of Georgia Southern squads which reached NAIA District Tournament in 1969 (18-7) and NCAA Division II Tournament in 1970 (17-6)... Was instrumental in victory over No. 1-ranked Kentucky State, which went on to win the small college national championship with its only loss coming to Georgia Southern (‘71)... Was recruited and signed by legendary coach J.B. Scearce... Awarded Kappa Sigma Fraternity's National Scholastic Leadership Award for excellence in academics and participation in extra-curricular activities... Was a member of Alpha Gamma Pi National Honor Society and was a Dean's List member throughout his collegiate career... Graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1971 before earning his master's degree in business administration in 1973... Was active alumni association member having served on the GSU Alumni Association Board of Directors... Is president of Cartel Realty, Inc., and is owner of Billikins, a real estate investment company.
