Sonja Keranen begins her first season as an assistant coach for Georgia Southern women's tennis in the Fall of 2025.
A former four-year standout for the Eagles, Keranen earned All-Sun Belt Conference doubles honors as a senior in 2024. She finished her career with 56 doubles wins, which is tied for the most in school history with Anita Buggins (1994-98) and Britta Wilms (1995-98), and twice earned Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's Academic List honors.
A native of Helsinki, Finland, Keranen graduated from Georgia Southern with her bachelor's degree in sport management in the Spring of 2024 and she is currently pursuing her master's degree in professional communication and leadership from Georgia Southern.
