2016-17 Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll
Sophomore (2017): Played in 65 sets and 26 matches • Collected 15 digs and six aces • Had a season high two aces in the season opener vs. FIU • Posted a season-high three digs twice – vs. Charlotte and at Troy (9/29).
Freshman (2016): Played in all 33 matches and 103 sets • Posted 15 aces, 13 assists and averaged 0.28 digs per set • Notched a season-high four digs with an ace vs. South Alabama (9/30) • Had two aces at Louisiana (9/24) and at Troy (10/14).
Prep: Lettered four seasons for coaches Chantal Brache and Jeanette Fisher at Trinity Christian High School • Named second-team all-state in 2015 and 2016 and earned all-conference honors all four seasons • Played club for Meagan Johnson on Virginia Juniors team • Virginia Juniors were Northeast Qualifier Champions in 2015 and 2016 • Also lettered in soccer.
Personal: Born Kelsey Marie Meins April 6, 1998, in Fairfax, Va. • The daughter of Keith and Marianne Meins • Has three younger sisters, Melanie, Laura and Paige.
Major: Plans to major in math on the pre-med track.
