Micah Varner joins the Eagle soccer team this season, with a wealth of experience at the Goalkeeper position. Varner came to Georgia Southern from the Knoxville Football Club, where he spent his time as the Director of Goalkeeping and worked with the U-13 and U-14 boy’s teams. Varner was also the Knoxville Force (NPSL) goalkeeper coach.
During breaks from school, Varner, was working for the Charlotte United Football Club as a Coach and Groundskeeper. While with Charlotte, Micah was in charge of managing multiple age groups, as well as managed inventory and equipment for the club.
Prior to being hired at Georgia Southern, Varner graduated from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management.
