T’ona McBride joined Georgia Southern Athletics Department in July 2026 as a Learning Specialist for Student-Athlete Services.
McBride is originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina Central University in December 2025 with a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Recreation Administration with a Concentration in Athletic Administration. She also got her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from North Carolina Central University in December 2023.
Prior to arriving in Statesboro, McBride began in 2024 as an Intern at North Carolina Central in the Student-Athlete Academic Support Service department. Following North Carolina Central, she spent one year as an Academic Mentor at the University of Colorado Boulder working with a variety of sports.
McBride enjoys reading in her spare time and talking to friends and family as much as possible.
