2020-21: Played in eight games … Saw action on 139 total snaps (102 on defense, 37 on special teams) … Had 15 tackles on the season … Missed the first three games with an injury, but returned to play against UMass … Had a tackle in that game … Was on the field for nine special teams snaps against South Alabama and three against Troy … Missed the Texas State and Army West Point games with an injury … Returned to play against Georgia State, tallying seven tackles on 34 defensive plays … Had a tackle against Florida Atlantic … Posted five tackles against App State … Played 24 total snaps against Louisiana Tech in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl … Made the Honor Roll in the spring for posting above a 3.00 GPA.

2019-20: Played in four games, seeing action on 36 plays … Played 13 snaps on special teams in the opener at No. 6 LSU … Was on the field for 10 special teams plays against Maine and six against Louisiana … Suffered an injury against UL and missed the rest of the season … Made the Honor Roll in the fall and spring … Named to the 2019-20 Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll for maintaining a 3.00-3.49 GPA.

2018-19: Played in three games, but was still able to redshirt under the new NCAA rules … Was on the field for 48 defensive snaps … Tallied six total tackles … Saw action against Clemson (13 snaps), Arkansas State (17 snaps) and New Mexico State (18 snaps) … Posted two stops at No. 2 Clemson … Had three tackles against New Mexico State … Made the Honor Roll in the fall for posting above a 3.0 GPA.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Evan Hochstetter at Manchester High … An original verbal commit to UCF … Rated as the No. 91 inside linebacker in the country by 247Sports Composite Rankings … Ranked the No. 113 ILB in the country and the No. 221 Player in Georgia by 247Sports … Ended up with 122 tackles on the year, to along with 26 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks … The state’s Group A Defensive Player of the Year and first-team all-state selection by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution … Earned the same honors from the Georgia Sports Writers Association … A first-team all-state selection for the Group A level by RecruitGeorgia … A first-team all-state selection by the AJC as a junior.

PERSONAL: Born Jontavious Quintez Ferguson on April 26 in Thomaston, GA … Son of Elaine Ferguson and Johnny Ferguson … Has two brothers, Rickey and Saiquan, and a sister, Jalisa.
