2022-23: Played in three games … Was on the field for 49 special teams snaps … Made the move to linebacker from tight end in the preseason … Saw run on two special teams snaps in the opener against Morgan State … Played nine snaps on special teams in the win over No. 25 James Madison and five against South Alabama. 

2021-22: Played in one game … Made his collegiate debut late against Arkansas State, playing a snap on offense … Made the Dean’s List in the fall for posting a GPA higher than 3.50.

2020-21: Opted out of the 2020 season … Returned to the team in January … Made the Honor Roll in the spring for posting above a 3.00 GPA.

2019-20: Joined the team in August, 2019 as a walk-on … Did not see any game action … Was redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Grayson High for Coach Christian Hunnicutt … As a senior, was credited with 16 pancake blocks … Also had two catches for 35 yards … Competed in track & field.

PERSONAL: Born Javian Boykin on April 26 in South Carolina … Son of Lonnie and Alisa Boykin … Has six siblings: Kylan, Anale, Nytere, Alona, Dynas and Nidan.
