2023-24: Played in three games … Was on the field for 11 total snaps (three defense, eight special teams) … Saw defensive action late in the opener against The Citadel … Played three snaps on special teams in the win over Coastal Carolina and five in the win over ULM … Made the Honor Roll in the fall … Made the Dean’s List in the spring for posting a GPA higher than 3.50.

2022-23: Played in one game as a true freshman and was redshirted … Made his collegiate debut against South Alabama, playing three snaps on special teams  … Made the Dean’s List in the fall for posting a GPA higher than 3.50 … Made the Honor Roll in the spring.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Gregg Vandagriff at Prince Avenue Christian School … A Region 8-A first-team selection in 2017 … Had 109 Tackles (69 solo), along with two interceptions and five touchdowns his senior season in 2018 … Also played basketball and ran track … Graduated in 2019 and entered the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for nearly three years.

PERSONAL: Born Elijah John Hynes on October 5 in Tallahassee, FL … Son of Kevin and Mikki Hynes … Has one sibling, Noelle … Uncle Brad Johnson, was a quarterback for the Super Bowl XXXVII Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers … Another uncle is Mark Richt, who was the head football coach at Georgia for 15 years and the University of Miami for three seasons and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
