Justin Brooks is in his second season as an assistant on the Georgia Southern track and field coaching staff.

Year one saw the Eagles break four school records and post 15 top-10 performances during the indoor season and 16 top-10 performances during the outdoor campaign. The Eagles finished fifth at the Sun Belt Indoor Championships, their best finish since joining the league prior to the 2014-15 season.

Brooks ran track and field at Division II Lee University for four years. He earned fist-team All-America honors seven times and was a three-time Gulf South Conference Champion in the 400 meters. He also won the 200 meters, the 4x4, the 4x1 and helped Lee to the team title at the GSC Championship meet during his career.

Brooks holds the 400 meters Gulf South Conference record, which he set in 2017, and holds three records at Lee University. He was named the GSC Co-Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2018 and South Region Athlete of the Year in 2019.

Brooks is pursuing a professional career in Track and Field while helping out with the Georgia Southern program.
