David Cutler works in the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation as the Associate Athletics Director for the Annual Fund. Prior to moving over to the Athletic Foundation, Cutler held various positions in the Georgia Southern University Ticket Office concluding his tenure as the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales & Operations in February 2020 - a position he held since the fall of 2015.
In his role with the Foundation, Cutler works cooperatively with the Deputy Director of Athletics for Development in creating and managing a collaborative environment promoting teamwork between Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation, Department of Athletics, University Advancement, and greater Georgia Southern community. He supervises and leads the annual fund operations for the Athletic Foundation and manages the portfolio of donors to solicit annual fund and philanthropic gifts to support Georgia Southern student-athletes. Cutler also oversees the facilitation of premium seating sales.
In addition to managing day-to-day operations in the Ticket Office, David led ticket sales for eight sports, increasing Georgia Southern's ticket revenue over $1,000,000 per year since 2015. Ticket revenue for the 2019-20 year is expected to surpass $2,000,000 which will have more than doubled since 2014. In 2017, David streamlined the Athletic Foundation and Ticket Office to be a one-stop-shop, improving customer service and experience by transitioning to new ticket and development software. This provided ticket holders the opportunity to pledge their Eagle Fund commitment while renewing season tickets online as well as have mobile and print-at-home tickets in addition to the ability to transfer tickets to other fans. He also utilized this software to upsell giving by promoting the Coaches' Continuity Fund, raising nearly $17,000 in just one year through modest dollar amounts.
In 2013, David established and managed the 50/50 Raffle for the Athletic Foundation. As of December 2019, the 50/50 Raffle has generated over $75,000 to the Eagle Fund to support student-athlete scholarships. David also oversaw all luxury suites, season, single, group and corporate ticket sales, the Athletic Foundation's 50/50 Raffle, game day and donor parking for Eagle Athletics as well as establishing the Bullpen Club at J.I. Clements Stadium. He has also held roles as the Director of Ticket Operations and Guest Relations Director.
As a 2013 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration, David is also a member of NACDA and has been on numerous committees within the Athletics Department as well as the 2019-20 University Graduation Committee. David hails from Dublin, Ga., and is married to the former Allie Miles, who was a softball pitcher for Georgia Southern. They have two sons, Kaden and Easton.
