Take the spotlight and earn your rank, in Georgia Southern EA SPORTS College Football Tournament !
DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SEPTEMBER 3, 2025.
Rules:
- Both players MUST play as Georgia Southern
- Participants will be randomly placed in a bracket
- Point Differentials will determine higher seeding & which system/console will be played in-person
- Stadium: Paulson Stadium
- Mode: Quick Play -> Play a Friend
- Game Settings:
- Quarter Length: 4 minutes
- Skill Level: All American
- Injuries: Off
- Fatigue: On
- Accelerated Clock: 20
In order to participate you must:
- Own a copy of College Football 26 for Xbox or PlayStation 5
- Have an online account through Xbox Live or Playstation Network
Format:
- Participants will be randomly seeded in a bracket based on the number of participants
- A minimum of 1 round will be played online (possibly 2 or 3 rounds played online)
- The next round(s) will be played at Georgia Southern’s Virtual Collaboration Center
- Georgia Southern’s Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center: will host Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds
- The prettiest little stadium in America, Allen E. Paulson Stadium: will host Final Four and Championship
- On-campus dates for competition are: September 11th-12th (64),18th-19th (32), 25th-26th (Sweet 16), October 2nd (Elite 8) & October 3rd (Final Four) & October 6th (Championship)
Start Date of the Tournament:
- Bracket will be finalized on September 4th
- The 1st round(s) of online play must be completed between September 4 - 9th
Result Reporting:
- The winner of each game will email a picture/screenshot with their username & score included to sthrower@georgiasouthern.edu
Tournament Terms & Conditions:
- Eligibility open to all of Eagle Nation and Georgia Southern supporters (no age restrictions)
- Must be on Georgia Southern’s campus for in-person competition dates (see above in format section)
- The championship will be hosted in Paulson Stadium on October 6th and STREAMED for viewers on Facebook, X, and Instagram
- Confirm internet connection before playing in the virtual round(s). Since there us now way to monitor online play, disconnected players may be disqualified. If both players agree to restart the game, we may allow ONE rematch in the event of a lag-out/disconnect.
- Prizes will be awarded to participants who make it to the sweet 16 and on
- Sweet 16: Commemorative Georgia Southern refillable mug
- Elite 8: Custom EA Sports CFB 26 Georgia Southern Game Case
- Final Four: Pregame sideline pass for Oct. 9th football game vs. Southern Miss
- Champion: $500 from GS Barnes & Noble merchandise (apparel only), custom championship merch ( Courtesy of Barnes & Noble), On Field recognition at Oct. 9th Football game, VIP experience with a +1 on Oct 9th game.
Media & Promotion:
- By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, image, and gameplay footage for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
- Tournament matches and winner announcements may be shared on the official Georgia Southern Athletics page.
