HONOLULU, HI — Georgia Southern (0-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) fell to the University of San Diego (1-1, 0-0 WCC) in a 3-1 contest at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center on Saturday. Despite a strong third set with a hitting percentage of .500, the Eagles were unable to maintain their momentum, losing the final set 9-25.

Right now, we are just trying to find some collective consistency across the board. We've shown through two matches that we are good enough to play with these teams, but to compete against teams like Baylor, San Diego, and Hawaii, who are all really good programs, you just have to find that competitive consistency. It's early on and we're going to try to stack those moments together."
