Eagle Divers Start 2026 Off On Right Foot at FIU Invitational

Miami, Fla. --- The Georgia Southern dive team placed well at the FIU Invitational this past Saturday, hosted by Florida International.
In the 1M, Karlee Wells once again paced the Eagles with her 245.25 score and taking home third in the event. McKinlee Taulbee would come 11th with a 224.15 with Abby Ounsworth right behind with a 15th place result of and even 197. Mackenzie Smith and Ava Mallon rounded out the squad, placing 20th and 22nd with scores of 143 and 138.20, respectively.
The 3M saw Wells take home the silver with a final score of 267.15, continuing her streak of not placing lower than third in any event all season. Taulbee and Ounsworth stuck by each other with 12th and 13th place finishes at marks of 215.30 and 208.35, respectively. Smith's 176.65 was good for 17th, while Mallon finished out in 20th at a 124.65 mark.
The Eagles next take the pool for the first and final time of the season in Statesboro as North Florida visits for a dual meet this upcoming Fridaay and Saturday (January 9th-10th).
