Greenville, N.C. --- The Georgia Southern swim & dive team closed out their regular season with a 112-237 loss against the Pirates on Saturday morning (January 24th).
Despite the loss, two Eagles were highlighted on the day with their top five times in program history. In the 50 Fly, Madlen Wendland secured a third place finish with her 26.24 to place herself just inside the top-five times in the program's record book. Later in the 50 Breast, it was another senior in Ieva Evaltaite who swam a 31.16 to also have a fifth-best time in Eagles' history.
In the 200 Free, the dynamic duo of Jamison Tiller and Carsyn Cosman would once again shine through, finishing second and third respectively in the event. Tiller would have a standout day, finishing on the podium in all three individual events she swam in, including a 51.98 second-place finish in the 100 Free. To close out the meet, both of the Eagles' 200 Free Relay squads would finish second and third, with the party of Tiller, Sterling Burd, Calissa Kissinger and Cosman swimming a 1:37.24.
With the regular season now behind them, the Eagles look to their first ASun conference meet. The four-day event held in Orlando will commence on Wednesday, February 18th, and run all the way to Saturday.
